Dove Cameron and the Cameron Boyce Foundation have launched a limited edition charity line called “Dove x Wielding Peace” to honor what would have been Cameron’s 21st birthday. Cameron Boyce was known for his roles in the Descendants franchise and “Jessie”, a loved TV show following the life of a nanny, and his loving personality. His family and friends have started the Cameron Boyce Foundation in honor of him. The foundation’s purpose is to reduce gun violence and cure epilepsy, the cause of the young actor’s death.
On May 29, the Cameron Boyce Foundation has taken to Instagram to announce this collection and has promised to donate a portion of the profits to The Actors Fund to aid in COVID-19 relief. Cameron’s family, friends, and costars including Karan Brar, Sophie Reynolds, Brenna D’ Amico, Booboo Stewart, Sarah Jeffrey, and his parents, Victor Boyce and Libby Boyce have taken photos of themselves in the apparel from the collection in honor of him.
In addition to launching the “Dove x Wielding Peace” collection, the Cameron Boyce Foundation has set a goal of raising 50 thousand dollars by his birthday. While the foundation couldn’t meet their goal, they were still able to raise 45 thousand dollars. Overwhelmed by the response, Libby Boyce took to social media to share her gratitude on the Cameron Boyce’s Foundation’s Instagram page.
The Cameron Boyce Foundation was established in 2019 to celebrate the legacy of the young actor. To this day, Cameron is remembered by many as a person with endless talent and a warm heart. He lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans. Take the time to donate to the Cameron Boyce Foundation in memory of him and to help make sure no more souls get taken by gun violence and epilepsy.
Many people have the heart to give back, but a lot don’t know how to. I try to be the bridge for those people – whether that means getting them involved in one of my campaigns or inspiring them by showing them a blueprint of how to get others engaged. – Cameron Boyce
Little did he know that he would still serve as a bridge for those people even after his passing.
