Summer break is a very popular time for people to get their reading hours in, but sometimes it can be hard to find a book that really grabs your attention. Which is why I am starting a new monthly series, where I share about the books I have read each month. I hope this series will be helpful and beneficial to those looking for reading recommendations!
Children of Blood and Bone By: Tomi Adeyemi
Children of Vengence and Virtue by: Tomi Adeyemi
These books are a combination of science fiction, West African mythology, and magic. This series’ 3rd book is scheduled to be released as of 2021, and the trilogy is also being created into a movie by Lucasfilm. For those who have read the Tristan Strong series, and/or the Hunger Games series, this is a series for you. I loved this series so much, I couldn’t put these books down until I had read every last word.
Meet Cute: some people are destined to meet By: Jennifer L. Armentrout, Dhonielle Clayton, Katie Cotugno, Jocelyn Davies, Nina LaCour, Emery Lord, Katharine McGee, Kass Morgan, Julie Murphy, Meredith Russo, Sara Shepard, Nicola Yoon, and Ibi Zoboi
Meet Cute is a anthology of short stories, each writen by a different author, about when couples first meet. This group of talented, YA authors creates an original collection of stories that is truly heart warming and real.
Everything, Everything by: Nicola Yoon
Everything, Everything is about a girl with a form of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, who never leaves the house for her own safety. Then one day, a boy named Olly moves in next door, and her world changes forever. This story is a deep and meaningful romance, that I would definitely recommend.
These were my favorite reads from June 2021. I hope you check out some (or all) of these books if they seem interesting! Keep a look out for more of this series at the each month for more summer book recommendations.
