Biden’s Executive Orders So Far

As our new president of the United States, Joe Biden has signed a record of 29 executive orders in his first month. To learn more about each, keep reading!

January:

  1. Jan 20, 2021: His first action was Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government which helped many people of color in economically deficient communities.
  2. Jan 20, 2021: Ensuring a Lawful and Accurate Enumeration and Apportionment Pursuant to the Decennial Census which helped the Census Bureau.
  3. Jan 20, 2021: Organizing and Mobilizing the United States Government To Provide a Unified and Effective Response To Combat COVID-19 and To Provide United States Leadership on Global Health and Security which is to combat COVID-19 and to improve Global Health and Security.
  4. Jan 20, 2021: Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation which, the first of his orders to help the LGBTQ+ community, was to prevent discrimination of transgender citizens.
  5. Jan 20, 2021: Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Personnel which was made to increase trust in the government
  6. Jan 20, 2021: Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science To Tackle the Climate Crisis which was made to tackle the climate change issue and to protect public health in the midst of the current pandemic.
  7. Jan 20, 2021: Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing which was made to protect the public in the midst of the current pandemic by requiring mask-wearing.
  8. Jan 20, 2021: Revocation of Certain Executive Orders Concerning Federal Regulation which was made to help federal regulation by cancelling certain executive orders.
  9. Jan 20, 2021: Revision of Civil Immigration Enforcement Policies and Priorities which was made to revise certain policies on immigration.
  10. Jan 21, 2021: Ensuring a Data-Driven Response to COVID-19 and Future High-Consequence Public Health Threats which was made to protect the public in the midst of the current pandemic and the future of the country.
  11. Jan 21, 2021: Ensuring an Equitable Pandemic Response and Recovery which was made to ensure safe recovery of the pandemic.
  12. Jan 21, 2021: Establishing the COVID-19 Pandemic Testing Board and Ensuring a Sustainable Public Health Workforce for COVID-19 and Other Biological Threats which ensured sustainable public health workforces free from COVID-19 and other biological threats.
  13. Jan 21, 2021: Improving and Expanding Access to Care and Treatments for COVID-19 which expanded access to care for COVID-19.
  14. Jan 21, 2021: Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel which ensured COVID-19 safety in travel.
  15. Jan 21, 2021: Protecting Worker Health and Safety which ensured safety for US workers.
  16. Jan 21, 2021: Supporting the Reopening and Continuing Operation of Schools and Early Childhood Education Providers which supported the reopening of the reopening of schools.
  17. Jan 21, 2021: A Sustainable Public Health Supply Chain which helped public health in the US.
  18. Jan 22, 2021: Economic Relief Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic which helped the economy of US citizens in the COVID-19 pandemic.
  19. Jan 22, 2021: Protecting the Federal Workforce which was made to help protect the federal workforce.
  20. Jan 25, 2021: Enabling All Qualified Americans To Serve Their Country in Uniform which made sure the US military, navy, air-force, etc., had to serve in uniform.
  21. Jan 25, 2021: Ensuring the Future Is Made in All of America by All of America’s Workers which made sure the future is made for us (the newer generations) of America.
  22. Jan 26, 2021: Reforming Our Incarceration System To Eliminate the Use of Privately Operated Criminal Detention Facilities which reformed privately operated criminal facilities.
  23. Jan 27, 2021: President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology which made advisors on science and technology be a part of the President’s Council. 
  24. Jan 27, 2021: Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad which helped tackle the climate change crisis.
  25. Jan 28, 2021: Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act which strengthened healthcare privileges for all.

February:

  1. Feb 2, 2021: Creating a Comprehensive Regional Framework To Address the Causes of Migration, To Manage Migration Throughout North and Central America, and To Provide Safe and Orderly Processing of Asylum Seekers at the United States Border which helped provide safety for people in need of safety at the US border.
  2. Feb 2, 2021: Establishment of Interagency Task Force on the Reunification of Families which helped the unification of families.
  3. Feb 2, 2021: Restoring Faith in Our Legal Immigration Systems and Strengthening Integration and Inclusion Efforts for New Americans which helped strengthen and restore faith in the immigration system.
  4. Feb 4, 2021: Rebuilding and Enhancing Programs To Resettle Refugees and Planning for the Impact of Climate Change on Migration which helped resettle refugees and rebuild for the impact of climate change on migration.
