This past fall Trump was elected by the public to take his second term as the US president. We are now a few months into Trump’s Presidency and we already have seen many actions and policies being implemented. For Spanish speaking countries Trump’s presidency brings opportunity but also consequences. Here is a look at how his policies he has implemented so far affect Spanish speaking countries. 

First off, Trump started his presidency with deportations. At first many countries said they would reject Trump’s deportation flights however that has gone away. Countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and El Salvador are just a few to mention. Trump continues to intensify these deportations putting the pressure on Spanish speaking countries to reintegrate migrants to their economy. 

Recently, Spain has attempted to reduce the impact of the tariffs on its economy. Trump’s tariffs have crippled global economy and trade. Spain plans to reduce the tariffs by spending 15.7 billion dollars to help the economy recover in multiple different ways. While the tariffs have caused short term losses and declines to Spain’s economy it also forces Spain to modernize its economy further. 

Finally, a third important policy Trump has implemented is the progress on the southern border with Mexico. He and Mexico had an agreement where Mexico will try and combat illegal immigration and the drug problem. The US government will analyze whether or not Mexico made progress to reduce these problems. If Mexico is to be successful it would allow Trump to reduce or pause tariffs imposed on Mexico. 

President Trump’s return has impacted every Spanish Speaking community in one way or the other either positive or negative. From deportations to tariffs to diplomacy and more, Trump’s influence in the world and Spanish speaking countries is massive. Millions of families are affected by these policies whether they are trying to migrate or a part of the economy. This article highlights just a few of the many policies that affect Spanish speaking countries. As Trump’s second term continues we will continue to observe closely.

Este otoño pasado, Trump fue elegido por el público para ser presidente de los Estados Unidos por segunda vez. Ahora estamos en los primeros meses de su presidencia, y ya vemos muchas acciones y políticas nuevas. Para los países que hablan español, la presidencia de Trump tiene 

oportunidades, pero también problemas. Aquí vemos cómo sus políticas afectan a estos países. 

Primero, Trump empezó su presidencia con muchas deportaciones. Al principio, muchos países no iban a aceptar los deportaciones, pero eso cambió. Países como México, Colombia, Guatemala y El Salvador aceptan ahora. Trump continúa con más deportaciones, y esto causa problemas en los países que hablan español. Estos países necesitan ayudar a las personas a regresar y trabajar en su país.

Recientemente, España trata de reducir el problema de los tarifas en su economía. Las tarifas de Trump son malas para la economía mundial. España quiere ayudar a su economía y va a usar 15.7 mil millones de dólares para ayudar en diferentes formas. Aunque las tarifas causan problemas ahora, también ayudan a España a mejorar su economía para el futuro. 

Finalmente, otra política importante de Trump es el trabajo en la frontera con México. Trump y México tienen un acuerdo. México va a tratar de parar la inmigración ilegal y las drogas. Los Estados Unidos va a mirar si México hace progreso. Si México tiene éxito, Trump puede reducir las tarifas para México. 

El regreso de presidente Trump afecta a muchas comunidades que hablan español. Puede ser bueno o malo. Desde deportaciones hasta tarifas y acuerdos, la influencia de Trump es muy grande. Millones de familias están afectadas por estas políticas, si quieren migrar o si son parte de la economía. Este artículo muestra solo algunas políticas que afectan a los países de habla hispana. Vamos a seguir mirando lo que pasa en su segundo tiempo como presidente.
